Two soundtrack albums, The Wedding Singer and The Wedding Singer Volume 2, were released in 1998 featuring mostly new wave songs. Although actors performed many songs in the film, the albums mainly contained original versions, background tracks, original songs and dialogue; Ellen Dow's "Rapper's Delight" rendition was used combined with the original. "Somebody Kill Me" was written by Adam Sandler and Tim Herlihy and performed by Sandler.
