    Filming began in London on 19 June 2007; two scenes were shot at Stoke Park, Buckinghamshire — the opening on the grass tennis courts and a round of golf on the 21st green.

    A scheduling conflict prevented Jason Statham from being cast, despite his appearances in three of Guy Ritchie's earlier films.

    During post-production producer Joel Silver screened the film to several studios including Lionsgate and Sony; Warner Bros ultimately handled distribution and released it in the UK on 5 September 2008 and in the U.S. on 10 October 2008.
